Our Enviro team recently attended the 2024 Queensland Environmental Law Association (QELA) Conference for a day of celebrating past achievements in environmental and planning stewardship, knowledge sharing, and having quality discussions with the intention to shape legal landscapes and pave the way for positive change in Queensland’s environment and planning practices.
Our Engenites gained insightful knowledge from listening to individuals and local government representatives on their experiences dealing with state-wide environmental legislation. The opportunity to network with town planners and lawyers from across Queensland was incredibly valuable to the team. Additionally, hearing from judges in the QLD Planning and Environment Court about recent changes to proceedings, and their call for feedback on improving approval processes, was particularly enlightening.
As environmental specialists and engineers, staying updated with legislation and approval processes is crucial. This knowledge enhances our ability to provide thorough understanding and consultation advice to our clients.
