Andrew Mackey

Senior Geospatial Ecologist
PhD (Coastal Ecology & Biogeochemistry), BSc (Zoology)(Hons), MSc (Marine Biology)

Andrew joined Engeny in September 2023 and is a Senior Geospatial Ecologist. Andrew leads Engeny’s ecological modelling and geospatial services, bringing over 15 years of Australia-wide experience in research, advisory, and consulting. He is a key asset to the ecology team, specialising in statistics, modelling, and programming.

Andrew has an extensive list of recent project experience relevant to the proposal, including threatened species habitat suitability and connectivity modelling, species distribution modelling and wildlife corridor network analyses. Andrew combines GIS, remote sensing, and modelling to determine the distribution of species and their habitat and predict how they may respond to threats.
