Ramya is an Engineer who joined the Engeny Brisbane office’s Flooding and Stormwater team in April 2021 after completing her master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Melbourne, with a focus on water resources and hydrology. Prior to this, she attained her bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering (environmental & water resources-focused) and economics from the University of Maryland, United States. During her graduate studies, she gained experience working on flood-related projects in the Philippines and Australia and developed skills in hydraulic and hydrological modelling and GIS. She hopes to become an expert in the water sector by applying her multidisciplinary knowledge and building on her expertise in stormwater and flood management and water sensitive urban design while gaining consulting experience.
