Vanessa joined Engeny in November 2016 as a Principal Water Resources Engineer, following two years’ employment within the environmental consulting industry. Whilst studying, she developed her skills in urban water management through her final year research project. Completed in conjunction with the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities, she investigated the implication of climate change and increased urbanisation on existing urban drainage infrastructure and the effectiveness of governmental policy in mitigating urban flooding.
Vanessa has worked on a number of flooding and water sensitive urban design projects with Engeny, further developing her skills in hydrologic, hydraulic and GIS software packages including MapInfo, QGIS, RORB, TUFLOW and MUSIC.
