Last Thursday night our Flooding and Stormwater team took home the the award for Excellence in Strategic or Master Planning for their Providence North Integrated Stormwater System project in collaboration with Okeland Communities at the Stormwater Queensland 2020 Awards for Excellence.
This was an excellent integrated stormwater detailed design project which incorporated natural channel design, rehab, bioretention systems, bioretention swales, detention, frequent flow management to maintain the hydrology of a downstream wetland and stormwater harvesting for irrigation of adjacent sports fields into an open space environment at Providence Ripley in Qld. Engeny created this project by encouraging developers to explore these methods in lieu of traditional bioretention systems.
Special congratulations to Tiffany Hart who managed the project, David Sexton who oversaw as project director, Nicholas Nolan the talented ‘green’ designer and thanks to Mark Page for the push to submit for this award. Well done team!
